| | | A Message from the AWI President | | |
Hello Members and Friends!
We’re halfway through Fall, heading into Winter, yet it seems far too soon for 2026 to be approaching!
We just came though our biggest fundraiser ever- the 2025 NSB Paint Out and it feels like a success on many fronts. Things went very smoothly with no big glitches, and many happy artists and supporters enjoyed the scheduled events and impromptu moments.

This could not have happened without the stalwart efforts of our many volunteers these past few months, including the fantastic transition team from MDC, whose expertise from prior years was graciously shared with us. My sincere thanks to you all for your contributions of time, energy, donations, expertise, encouragement, and belief in our abilities to manage an event of this size together!
Lots going on in the next few weeks that you may want to know about, including our 2nd Annual Holiday Market that will be held at the pavilion here on the AWI campus on Sunday, November 30th. If you’d like to have a table and sell your art or crafts, please email and reserve your spot with Cindy at Cindy@artistsworkshopinc.com.
Next up will be our Annual Holiday Luncheon! This year the popular event takes place at the Sugar Mill Country Club, on Wednesday, December 10th, and will also feature the Awards for the “Small Works” December Show at our Gallery. Please plan to sign up online (or by calling the office) for tickets by early December!
As always, lots of excellent workshops and classes are in progress through December, so check our website and social media (Facebook and Instagram) frequently to keep up with the latest exciting details.
Hope to see you around Artists’ Workshop soon!

Cheers to a successful NSB Plein Air Paint Out! | |
As you all should be aware, the 2025 NSB Plein Air Paint Out was the first year this tremendous event belonged solely to Artists’ Workshop! It was (and is) a wonderful opportunity for us, as a non-profit, to raise funds to keep us growing and expanding programs, and, most importantly, attracting community members who may want to “try” art but have been hesitant in the past.
We are a friendly, approachable, and nurturing organization and if you attended any of the Paint Out events or just visited the Gallery, this was evident. Smiles were abundant, and luckily, the “weather gods” were good to us! After all of the rain we had earlier in the month, we had nothing but sunshine, blue skies, and gentle breezes the whole week—the wonderful artists and volunteers could not have been happier!
We start working on the Paint Out every January, so a lot of time, volunteer hours, and community involvement go into making it successful. We do not have our final numbers yet, as far as profits, but the committee could not be happier with how the week turned out. We had wonderful support from our community, including Sponsors and Patrons; hosts who provided housing for our artists; and restaurants who provided lunches for Artists and food for our evening events. Also, stores who donated items for our raffles and, of course, the over 80 volunteers who worked behind the scenes the whole week to keep things flowing.
I was fortunate enough to have a strong committee whom I can’t thank enough for all they did to pull this event together so beautifully. The dates for next year’s Paint Out have been chosen, so mark your calendars for October 20 through October 24, 2026. Take a rest until January and then get ready to start preparing to “Celebrate Art, Nature & Community” again!
With Gratitude,
Cheryl Faber Chair

| | Volunteers: The Heart & Hands of AWI | | We are SO thankful for ALL of our wonderful volunteers; we know that this organization would never had made it for 67 years (and counting) without the hard work and efforts of several generations of devoted citizens, who care deeply about keeping the arts alive and thriving in NSB. | |

Artists' Workshop likes to recognize individuals who have done an especially outstanding job at the tasks that they have volunteered to take on (or in some cases, perhaps, have been talked into!) This month, we want to place a spotlight on your collective achievement in this newsletter.
We've said it a few times but the 15th Annual New Smyrna Beach Paint Out was such a resounding success, and its triumph belongs entirely to the dedicated team behind the scenes: our incredible Volunteers and Committee Members!
This year marked a significant milestone, as it was the Artists’ Workshop’s first time to solo run the entire event. This undertaking required extraordinary effort, and the success confirms the strength and passion of our community.
Thanks to the tireless work of every person on the Volunteer and Committee teams, the Paint Out not only celebrated art but also secured its position as AWI’s largest annual fundraiser. This event provides the critical funding needed to sustain arts and culture programs for both children and adults in our region.
From coordinating logistics to greeting patrons, and from organizing the live auction to supporting the artists in the field, the sheer number of roles—and the many individuals who filled them —shows the dedication of our community to AWI's mission.
We extend our deepest gratitude to every Volunteer and Committee Member. Your commitment, time, and enthusiasm made this milestone possible. YOU are the engine that keeps the Artists’ Workshop moving forward and the reason our largest fundraiser continues to grow.
Thank you ALL for making the 15th Annual NSB Paint Out a masterpiece!
