A Dollar A Day Impact Report | A Year in Review

Friends,

Today is our 1st Birthday!

It is hard to imagine that we are celebrating our first full year of operation as A Dollar A Day Foundation! We have had an exciting start to 2019 and are committed to continuing our mission to put more money on the front lines of mental health and addictions care.

When we first started out on this journey, we asked for the support of many to help us Share the Change for mental health and addictions care in Canada. We have been overwhelmed with the positive support we have received from people near and far. It is a keen reminder that mental health and addictions is important to all of us.

This update is just a glimpse of the work that has been ongoing in our first year to make real change happen on the front lines of mental health care in Canada, all made possible by our donors and supporters!

If you are not a Dollar-A-Dayer already, please consider joining us and together we can make a difference!

All the best for 2019,
Brendan, Alan & Andrew

We were very proud to be a part of event to witness the great work of Thrive.

On January 18, 2019 we announced that Johnson Insurance is the Foundation’s first official corporate partner! The partnership is the first of its kind for both organizations and through this partnership Johnson will not only be directing more dollars to important front line mental health and addictions programs but will help the Foundation reach its goal of directing 100% of funds donated by individuals to the front lines of mental health and addictions care.

We are excited by the partnership and look forward to the involvement of Johnsons as we expand the work of A Dollar A Day across our vast country.

Our Mission to Reach our 100% Goal
When we launched the Foundation, our goal was to attract corporate partners who understood the impact that mental health and addictions has on their employees, families and friends. Employers that care about what is important to their employees. These partnerships will help shape the future of A Dollar a Day and ensure we reach our goal of putting 100% of individual donor dollars on the front lines and ensure more dollars for essential programs.

We have been busy throughout the year meeting with many organizations across our country, organizations with shared values who believe in improving mental health and addictions care, like Scotiabank, Rogers, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and more! We're excited to see what the future will hold for our Corporate Partnership plans!
A Birthday for the Books!
On May 17 th , our co-founder Alan Doyle celebrated his birthday in fine fashion. His wish? To have people sign up to become Dollar-A-Dayers and Share The Change for Mental Health.

We were delighted with the response, and Alan chaulked it up to be one of the best birthday gifts yet - people giving the gift of support for mental health and addictions care!
A Year of Sharing the Change for Mental Health and Addictions: Thank you for your tremendous support!
It has been an amazing year!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our mission. Your dollars say "Mental health matters to me", and for that we are truly grateful. We cannot wait to see what the future holds - much work remains for improved mental health and addictions care, but together we know we CAN make real change happen!
