When We are Tempted...
Rev. Candee Martin
Hopefully you have received a copy of the Society of St Andrew booklet entitled Season of Joy and Gladness , which has daily readings along with a scripture and prayer. We mailed them at the beginning of the week.

In the mailing we included a flyer with dates and activities happening throughout Lent that included an incorrect month listed by a couple of the dates. We apologize for any confusion.

We hope you will join the Christian Spiritual Formation Team as they begin our Lenten study “Simon Peter” by Adam Hamilton. The study will begin promptly at 7:00 pm each Wednesday evening. The cost of the book will be $16.00 and will be available from Brenda Wright (on Sundays) or the church office during the week.

Simon Peter—an ordinary fisherman who heard an extraordinary call. He left everything to follow his teacher and possessed a passion that would change the world. That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man. And that’s the point of Simon Peter, a six-week adult Bible study by Adam Hamilton. Peter was just an ordinary guy who heard and followed God’s extraordinary call. Discover how you, too, have special gifts, talents, and abilities that God can use to make a difference today. Chapters Include: The Call of Simon the Fisherman; Walking with Jesus in the Storm; Bedrock or Stumbling Block?; “I Will Not Deny You”; From Cowardice to Courage; The Rest of the Story
