A Night’s Welcome Begins Saturday, February 15th

Our church will once again host the “A Night’s Welcome (ANW)” program beginning Saturday, February 15 th and going through the morning of February 22 nd . ANW gives us an opportunity to minister to the needs of our homeless brothers and sisters by providing a safe, warm place for them to sleep and two hot meals (breakfast and dinner) daily.

Nightly volunteer opportunities include coordinating showers, preparing and serving meals, staying overnight, or washing bath towels and wash cloths. Sign-up sheets are located on the wall behind the Sanctuary.

In addition, I will need a few volunteers on Saturday, February 15 th to help me prepare for the event. We have a little furniture to move, towels and wash cloths to bring over to the shower area, arrange the ladies sleeping areas by putting down carpet and their mats, as well as, bringing in all the mats and clean sheets and blankets to get them warmed up to room temperature. If we have families in the shelter, we will need to arrange sleeping areas for them as well.

If you have any questions, or would like more information, contact Carol Gardner in the evenings after 4:00 p.m. at 262-6075.
