BND Celebrates 100 Years of Serving North Dakota!
Since the state’s initial investment of $2 million in 1919, the Bank of North Dakota has returned more than $1 billion to the state through the general fund, infrastructure, disaster relief and other special programs. That doesn’t account for the thousands of North Dakota residents who have benefited from its agricultural, business, home and student loans.
The Bank is hosting a public event at its location, 1200 Memorial Highway, Bismarck, ND on  Monday, July 29, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m .
There will be speakers starting at 11:15 a.m. and Pride of Dakota vendors selling food, books and other items. Tours of the Bank’s museum, sponsored by the North Dakota Bankers Association and Independent Community Banks of North Dakota, will be held hourly starting at noon.
In addition to the museum, a chronicle of the Bank’s rich history is available in the book “The Bank of North Dakota | From Surviving to Thriving.” The Bank commissioned Mike Jacobs, well-known North Dakota journalist, to write it. Visit  bnd.nd.gov/100  to purchase the book and learn more about event plans.
