Happy New Year and welcome to 2026! 🎉 We hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration and is feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead. The start of a new year is always a special time to reflect, and looking back, 2025 was truly one for the books!
It was a year filled with exciting growth and meaningful milestones here at Paul’s Ace Hardware. As you committed readers know, 2025 was also a very special year for me personally, and I am heading into 2026 with a new last name and so much gratitude. We are especially excited to share that 2026 marks Paul’s Ace Hardware’s 70th anniversary! This milestone year will be filled with celebrations, special events, and fun surprises throughout the year, and we cannot wait to celebrate alongside our community. Thanks to you, 2025 was an outstanding year. For the fifth year in a row, Paul’s Ace Hardware was named one of Ace’s Top Forty largest customers, based on 2025 purchases. That recognition belongs to you. We truly have the best customers, and this is just one piece of proof.

2026 is a very special year for us as we celebrate 70 years of Paul’s Ace Hardware, and we are kicking off this milestone with a series of in-store anniversary events you will not want to miss!
Our first celebration takes place at our Scottsdale and McDowell location on Sunday, January 11th from 11 AM to 2 PM. We will be joined by some of our favorite vendors, including DeWalt, Weber, Dunn-Edwards, just to name a few. Stop by for food, live grill demos, and plenty of inspiration for your next project. This location will also feature a car show, adding a fun and local touch to the celebration.
During the event at the Scottsdale and McDowell location only, enjoy a FREE Bucket and 20% off almost anything you can fit inside of it. Regularly priced in stock only, valid exclusively at that location and only during event hours from 11 AM to 2 PM. Plus, receive a free hat with any twenty dollar purchase, while supplies last.
Each of our anniversary events will be a little different and will take place throughout the months ahead. With eight amazing Paul’s locations, we love highlighting the unique character and community of each store. That means unique experiences, special vendor appearances, and exclusive deals happening at each location, so every visit brings something new. The best part is that the events are held on different days, giving you plenty of opportunities to visit multiple stores and experience what makes each one special!
Speaking of visiting our locations, we are excited to introduce a brand new anniversary feature: the Paul’s Shopper Hopper Passport! At any of the stores at any time of the year, you can pick up a Paul’s exclusive passport, created just for fun and valid only at Paul’s locations (no out-of-country travel required!).
As you travel to each of our eight Paul’s Ace Hardware locations throughout 2026, you will receive a free, creatively designed sticker unique to that store, along with a stamp in your passport to verify your visit. These stickers are perfect for water bottles, Yeti cups, toolboxes, and more.
Once you collect all eight stamps within the year of 2026, you will receive a seventy dollar Paul’s gift card, redeemed in store after your final stamp. Seventy years, seventy dollars. We think it’s the perfect way to celebrate!

November and December's Round Up at the register was all for our own local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Phoenix Children's Hospital. We are so incredibly LUCKY to have them in our neighborhoods. For the month of December our total was $11,433.71. Add in the Paul's 10% match and we are going to be able to send a check for $12,577.08! It was absolutely incredible month AND YEAR that you should ALL be very proud of. We are humbled to have the BEST customers on the planet. Thank you so much ❤️
A new year also means a new round of giving back, and we love being able to support organizations that are making a real difference in the communities around our stores. This January, our round-ups will benefit a few amazing local nonprofits, depending on which Paul’s location you visit.
At our Scottsdale & McDowell, Scottsdale on McDonald, and Via Linda locations, round-ups will support Aspire Youth Academy, which helps local kids connect with mentors and gain the academic, professional, and life skills they need to grow and succeed. At Fountain Hills, donations will benefit the Extended Hands Food Bank, helping make sure families in the community have access to food when they need it most. At both Tempe locations and Gilbert & Baseline, round-ups will go to Lily’s Pad, a hyper-clean indoor playground designed for immunocompromised children and their families. It’s a safe place where kids can enjoy everyday play while parents and caregivers have space to rest and connect. And at our Payson location, donations will support the Payson Warming Center, which provides meals, showers, clothing, hygiene essentials, transportation assistance, safe sleeping arrangements, and emergency support to those in need.

It’s January, which means we’re not quite out of the woods when it comes to winter weather. I know, we live in Arizona and most people laugh when we talk about the cold, but for those up north, like our Payson store friends, it can get really chilly! Even here in the Valley, it’s easy to forget how cold it can get, so it’s a good time to take a few simple precautions.
Here’s an easy way to remember: protect the four P’s:
People: Bundle up when you head outside. Those early mornings and evenings can surprise you!
Plants: Bring sensitive potted plants inside or to a warmer spot in your garage. Cover outdoor plants with fabric or frost cloth, avoid plastic or tarps. A little extra mulch goes a long way to keep the ground warm.
Pets: If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them. Bring your furry friends inside.
Pipes: Wrap any exposed faucets or pipes, especially in crawl spaces or attics. Pipes can freeze, even here!
Quick Citrus Tip: If you have citrus trees, a light frost cover can help protect them during cold snaps.
Winter prep doesn’t have to be stressful, and if you need frost cloth, pipe insulation, or anything to help keep everyone safe and warm, our Red Vested Heroes are always happy to help. Staying ahead now makes the rest of the season a lot easier!
