Policy Reminder: Earbuds and Electronics.
Electronics are NOT allowed to be used on campus. This includes all phones, earbuds, headphones, computers and game systems.  These items should not be out during class, lunch, and while passing in the halls. If they are used, they will be taken away until the end of the day. They are permitted during study hall only.
Picture Day Information
 Pictures will be back around Thanksgiving.

If you forgot to preorder your students pictures, when they come back you will have another chance. You will be able to see a copy of the proof image on the envelope and on their school ID. There will be a two week period after photographs are delivered where you can order online. The delivery envelope will have instructions including the website address to guide you in the order process.

Ea ch student will be photographed for our yearbook and receive a complimentary student ID card good for discounts all around town.

There is no fee to sit for the portrait. Portrait packages and fun accessories are available for purchase.

Homeschool Connections parents can also sit for a Teacher ID to receive educator discounts around town as well (Teacher ID $5.00).

Basketball Program

There is a new, homeschool, basketball program at their facility in Sterling Heights, MI. Coach Charles Ryle and some helpers will be running the classes. He has plenty of experience with homeschoolers, training, and much more.
This is the first program they've offered and they're so excited to get it started! They are trying to get the word out to as much homeschoolers in the area!

Reserve your child's spot: Driver's Education!
Driver's Ed classes start soon! Segment 1 class is from November 5 - 27th!  Homeschool Connections is proud to partner with Academy Driving School of Troy to offer the opportunity to take Homeschool Driver’s Education Classes. Parents:
You need to be checking your students' grades in ORBUND. It is your responsibility to check homework and make sure things are getting done. If your students are failing, then they will be placed on academic probation and possibly taken out of the class.

Try using Orbund in your Chrome browser if you're experiencing trouble with the site.

Pizza Day is October 22nd, please don't forget to sign up and pay first thing this morning if you plan to participate!

We also want to remind you we have a snack store available during the lunch hour. Snacks and drinks range from 25 cents to $1.
Parent Reminder:
Just a reminder that we ask you to not wander down the hall by the classrooms. We know our campus is small but it is very disruptive for the teacher or other students if a student sees their parent and then gets excited/distracted. So please stay in the main lobby area. If you need to speak with your child, please let a supervisor know. Thank you.
