Dear Parents,

We are starting to have issues with unacceptable student behavior. Please review the points below with your children about how we expect students to behave in class. Students who do not follow the behavior standards will be taken out of the class and parents will be called to pick their children up early.  
  • Students are expected to behave respectfully to all adults and other students at all times.
  • Students are expected to keep their hands and feet to themselves, with no hitting, wrestling, or otherwise unwanted physical contact, also includes. hand holding, arms around each other, etc...
  • Students are not permitted to keep a teacher from teaching or a student from learning.
  • Teasing, bullying or threatening other students in any way are grounds for dismissal.
  • Rude, disrespectful, disruptive or destructive behavior is grounds for dismissal.
  • Swearing, mean and foul language is not permitted.
  • Participation in classes, being on time, completing homework on time, contributing to discussions and bringing all required books and supplies to class is expected.
  • Skipping classes and excessive tardiness will not be tolerated and could be cause for dismissal from the program.
  • Cell phones, computers, tablets and other electronic devices must be securely put away at all times unless being used privately during study hall or under teacher supervision.
  • No Electronic devices are allowed to be out during class or lunch time.
Portrait Day for each Homeschool Connections Campus is listed below. Package information will be available at each campus.

Each student will be photographed for our yearbook and receive a complimentary student ID card good for discounts all around town.

There is no fee to sit for the portrait. Portrait packages and fun accessories are available for purchase.

Homeschool Connections parents can also sit for a Teacher ID to receive educator discounts around town as well (Teacher ID $5.00).

Parent Connecting Meetings Recap!
Tarla came to the Rochester Mom's Connect meeting this week. It was a wonderful time discussing homeschooling high schoolers and hearing of the interesting options that they have discovered to enrich their education. Hearing about the how these teens were finding their path in life, the Explorer days at Lawrence Tech University, and all of the exciting things that they have planned for their future was encouraging and exciting. It was a sweet time together.

In Troy, we had several ladies who were just getting started homeschooling and a couple who had been homeschooling for a while. We discussed the history of homeschooling, how it has impacted the current homeschooling world, and how we've gotten to where we are now. We shared some of the features of various programs with the educational opportunities in the area, as well as different kinds of curriculum, styles, and methods of homeschooling. We all came away feeling encouraged. Hope you can join us at the next one!
Driver's Education!

Clarkston Campus Announcements
Enter and exit from the side parking lot at door #7. All other doors are locked.

Just a reminder! Our start time is 10 am so you do not need to drop students off before 9:50 am. Supervisors and teachers need time to prepare the campus and are unable to supervise children before then. Dismissal time is 2:25 pm so please pick up your children by 2:30 pm.
