Hosted at BHive in the Brampton Innovation District, the event served as a high-energy hub for start-ups, students, and curious leaders from various industry sectors to explore the current landscape of Extended Reality (XR).

The City of Brampton is launching its first-ever Youth Cabinet, an opportunity for youth ages 14 to 29 to help shape programs, initiatives and decisions that impact the next generation.
For those in Brampton’s startup and innovation ecosystem, this is a chance to:
✔ Bring forward issues that matter to young entrepreneurs and innovators
✔ Build leadership and governance experience
✔ Expand your network across community and civic leaders
✔ Support youth-led projects, initiatives and events
✔ Receive an honorarium and transit pass
From September 2026 to June 2027, members will meet monthly at rotating community centres and serve as ambassadors for youth across Brampton.

In celebration of Black History Month, the Brampton Venture Zone (BVZ) by Toronto Metropolitan University and the Brampton Library hosted From Barriers to Breakthroughs.
The Tech Talk brought together Black founders who shared how personal experiences with systemic barriers and financial hardship became the foundation for their tech-driven ventures. From fintech and edtech to clean tech and venture leadership, each story reinforced a powerful message: lived experience is not a limitation — it’s a catalyst for innovation.

As Canada advances its Defence Industrial Strategy, new opportunities are emerging for Canadian innovators to engage in the national defence ecosystem. To help organizations get started, the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst is hosting Defence Sector 101 on March 25, 2026 — a free virtual briefing featuring Daniel Blanc, former Director of National Security for the Canadian Armed Forces.

Presented by the National Cybersecurity Consortium, the event brought students together for hands-on, team-based cybersecurity challenges. Participants tested their skills in cryptography, forensics, reverse engineering, and web exploitation — gaining practical, real-world experience across multiple areas of cybersecurity.

  Altitude Angels: A New Chapter in Regional Investment | |
Launched in 2023 as Brampton Angels operated by Altitude Accelerator, the investor network has officially rebranded to Altitude Angels, expanding its commitment to supporting founders across Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon.
In just two years, Altitude Angels has deployed $2.6 million into seven high-growth startups, with more than 100 founders pitching across sectors including health tech, deep tech, construction tech, and sport tech. Through its Angel 101 education series, the group also strengthens investor readiness and due diligence expertise.
As part of Altitude Accelerator, the network will continue growing its presence across the GTA West corridor in 2026 — backing ambitious founders with smart capital, mentorship, and strategic networks.
The Brampton Angels brand will continue as a boutique investor network led by Board Chair Louis Sapi.

BVZ Launch is a 4-month, non-equity health-tech incubator designed for MVP-ready Canadian startups in health and wellness looking to launch, validate, and grow in market. The program connects founders with Brampton- and Peel-based industry partners to support early market validation and potential pilot opportunities — all while founders retain full equity and IP.
BVZ Launch members also have the opportunity to participate in BVZ Launch Demo Day at the Brampton Venture Expo (BVX), where the top 3 startups will pitch for a chance to win up to $70,000 in non-dilutive funding. Base non-dilutive funding is provided to all program graduates, subject to terms and eligibility.
