Philanthropy Magnified - monthly impact report
| 2025 | July Issue - Summertime Tidbits | | Celebrating 2025 Empowering Resilient Communities to Thrive Grant Cycle! | | |
Each year, our grant cycle is a powerful reminder of both the immense need in our community—and the remarkable organizations stepping up to meet it.
In 2025, we received more applications than ever before. At the Community Foundation, we believe that a grant check is just the beginning. Our commitment to nonprofits extends far beyond dollars—it’s about partnership, listening, and helping organizations build lasting strength from within.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the relaunch of our Capacity-Building Consultations, now open to all Tompkins County organizations—regardless of whether they’ve received a grant from us.
These consultations are designed to dig deeper than immediate funding needs and to help organizations assess and strengthen their core infrastructure. Using a web-supported assessment tool, we can evaluate key areas including strategic planning, mission orientation, financial management, board development, and more!
This work is grounded in trust-based philanthropy—an approach that prioritizes relationships over transactions and recognizes that nonprofits know their own needs best. Our goal is not to “fix” organizations, but to READ MORE.
