Miss Widner's News

Dear Parents, Students, Grandparents, and Staff,
Greetings! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had the opportunity to go with my sister and niece to the State Championship Football game in Indianapolis and watch Bishop Dwenger win their State title! It was quite the game- 4 overtimes!!
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Christmas programs! On Thursday, December 13, our Band, Show Choir, and Guitar Group will be performing in the gym. The concert begins at 7:00 PM. On Friday, December 14, 4 year old Preschool, Kindergarten, and grades 1-4 perform in the afternoon at 1:30. Then, grades 1-4 come back and do an encore performance of their "Christmas Chronicles" at 7:00 PM!! This is all sure to put you in the Christmas spirit!
In today's Wednesday envelope and in this weekend's Sunday Bulletin, you will find information on SGO (Scholarship Granting Organization). This is a tuition scholarship that assists middle to low income families and can give the donor a 50% Indiana tax credit. If you want more information about SGO's, feel free to talk to Geanine Morgan, our bookkeeper or email her at gmorgan@seascsfw.org. Next week, we will be sending information home about the "Season of Giving." This is another opportunity for folks to donate to our school to a specific area! We appreciate so much our benefactors who have blessed us with donations. THANK YOU!!!

Have a great week,
Miss Widner

Indianapolis Colts' Mascot Visits Middle School Students on November 29!
Good Afternoon Parents!

My name is Nathan Sidey and I'm the Mascot Program Intern for the Indianapolis Colts. Thanks to the generous support of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana State University, Blue has the opportunity to bring his show, "Choose Love" to 40 schools across the state, including a stop at your child's school on Thursday, November 29! This show has been designed for students in grades 6-12 and speaks on the importance of showing love to those around us.

The Colts mascot, Blue, will be speaking on his life experiences as a mascot and the road that led him to realizing that the most fulfilling thing we can have in life is the opportunity to show love to the people we interact with.

We feel that this message is more important than ever as students are growing up in the age of social media. As we have traveled across the state to share this show, we have seen the immediate impact it has made on students' lives and we continuously receive word from principals and counselors about the lasting impact it continues to make, long after we have left. We really hope that your child enjoys this message and we appreciate the opportunity to speak into their lives.

Best,
 Nathan Sidey
