High Holiday Food Drive
For many years, the congregants of TBE have generously donated bags of food to Person-to-Person (P2P) during the High Holiday Food Drive. In fact, our Temple has donated more food than any other religious institution in Fairfield County. Our efforts have made a difference in the lives of so many of our neighbors.

This year, because of the pandemic, our help to ensure there is ample food at P2P is needed more than ever. However, given the challenges of the pandemic, we will be conducting our High Holiday Food Drive a bit differently this year.

The bags that are usually distributed during Rosh Hashanah services can be picked up at the Temple beginning Tuesday, September 8thCongregants can use their own bags, if preferred.

(Please check expiration dates to ensure there is no expired food!)

Kid-friendly cold cereals
Oatmeal (variety packs)
Nutrition/Breakfast Bars
Rice (1 lb. bag)

Bags of food can be dropped off at the Temple any time from September 14-29. Of course, any bags of food dropped off before then will be welcome.

Volunteers are needed beginning September 23 to help unpack and sort food into bins at the Temple. To ensure the safety of volunteers, six people per shift are requested. Click here to sign up for a specific day/time. The bins will be picked up by P2P on September 30.
