High Holy Days 2022/5783
Days of Awe
Our Sanctuary is open during the Days of Awe: the time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Spend time in thought, meditation or prayer seated in our most sacred space.

Familiar High Holy Days music and recorded readings will provide a spiritual atmosphere as you reflect on the past year and work towards making amends at this important season.

The Sanctuary is open on:
  • Tuesday, September 27th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. (new time added!)
  • Wednesday, September 28th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 29th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Friday, September 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Hear the Torah portion chanted with an aliyah (blessing over the Torah) by led by Past Presidents of Temple Beth El. This year, we’ll read an alternate portion - the story of Hagar and Ishmael. If you faced illness or hardship this past year and overcame it, join in a special celebration giving thanks for making through the hard times. Then, stay for a conversation about the choice Abraham must make between sons Ishmael and Isaac. To participate in the discussion, click here to join on Zoom.
2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Songs of Hope (click here to watch on YouTube)
