We are excited that the High Holy Days are almost upon us and we are ready for congregants to pick up their High Holy Days packets and loaner prayer books. Of course, out-of-town members and those who have told us they need assistance, will have them locally delivered or mailed.

Stop by the parking lot entrance during these pick up times:
Wednesday, September 9 |1 - 4 p.m.
Thursday, September 10 | 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 1 - 4 p.m.
Friday, September 11 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sunday, September 13 | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Monday, September 14 | 4 - 7 p.m.

Watch for a special email regarding the links and private passwords for our members. Passwords will be emailed to members whose accounts are in good standing. If you are not sure if you have fulfilled your commitment to our holy community or if you are facing a financial hardship, please contact Stu Botwinick as soon as possible. Stu can be reached at 516-487-0900, ext. 107 or by email at sbotwinick@tbegreatneck.org.
Renewal in Elul
As we prepare for the High Holy Days, take a moment to get some Renewal in Elul using our Teshuva worksheet.
#Shofar Shorts
We’re sounding the shofar every day in Elul (except Shabbat) leading up to Rosh HaShannah to help wake up our souls. Join us daily for Shofar Shorts videos posted on the TBE Facebook page, and see several already posted this week!
Eternal Light Initiative
“If I am not for me, who will be for me? And if I am for myself alone, what am I? And if not now, when?”―Hillel
Now more than ever, we ask for your help. We can do more. We can further feed, visit, seek, discover, advocate, teach, study, pray and grow. We have seen the good we do for so many, and we are excited for the future.
Please consider supporting our holy community and our annual fund through a donation to the Eternal Light Initiative.
As we face the challenges of our world this year,
we are guided by the Jewish value of “pikuach nefesh,”
the idea that saving a life is of the utmost importance.
With this in mind, this year
all High Holy Day services will be online.
We are counting on you. As everyone's continued commitment to our temple matters, your membership account needs to be in good standing (up-to-date in your dues support) in order to attend the online High Holy Day services. Prior to the High Holy Days, members will receive an email with links and passwords for viewing services. We look forward to worshiping with you.
If you have any questions about your membership account,
please contact the temple at 516-487-0900 or email chorn@tbegreatneck.org.

Build a Legacy You Can Be Proud of...
Legacy gifts and commitments enable Temple Beth-El to respond swiftly to a variety of challenges. They also serve as a lasting reminder of the values you hold dear and hope to pass down to your loved ones and future generations. As we soon begin this holy season, it may be a good time to prepare a will if you lack one, or to add a bequest to your existing will on behalf of Temple Beth-El.
If you would like to discuss a possible legacy gift, please reach out to Ron Epstein, our immediate past president, at ronaldepstein@mac.com.
