Crucial Conversations for the Community

Talking to your child about race and diversity doesn’t have to be a scary thing. In fact talking to your children about diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice at a young age is a step toward raising anti-racist and pro-justice children. Join us for this year’s first Crucial Conversations for the Community on Thursday, September 15, at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Let’s explore this topic, answer questions, and make progress toward a more peaceful world together. To receive the Zoom link, complete this quick RSVP. If you have any questions, please reach out to Danielle Wright at dwright@highmeadows.org.

SHARE

Thank you to our class room parents and all who joined us at Back To School night last week. We look forward to seeing Middle Years caregivers tomorrow at the Middle Years' Back to School night. Watch for emails from your class room parents and the Meadow Messenger for information on how and when you can get involved in SHARE volunteer opportunities.

Please click this link to help with Picture Day later this month.

Fall photos will take place on September 20 & 21. We will be using Amy Lee of SmackDab Photography - www.smackdabphotography.com

A reminder that SHARE asks families for dues of $35 per student, payable to SHARE treasurer Monica Duggal by Venmo @mondug or PayPal monduggal@gmail.com to fund our staff appreciation gifts. Please include child(ren)'s name(s) in the memo/for line.

Peace Vigil

All students are welcomed to attend a Peace Vigil on Tuesday, September 20, on the Upper Meadow. We will celebrate International Day of Peace with familiar faces as speakers, singers, and artists of various kinds. You won’t want your student to miss this peaceful opportunity to center themselves in love and hope with our community. If you would like your student to attend, please register so we can account for each student in attendance. Pick up time is 4:45 p.m. at the Cabana. Please use your carpool tags to facilitate pick up. Feel free to reach out to Danielle Wright at dwright@highmeadows.org with any questions.

Around Campus

Pre-K students spell their name by making letter shapes out of playdough.

2nd and 3rd graders go on a nature hunt collecting data about pollinators.

Students had a blast canoeing during the 8th Grade Retreat!
