A MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

Dear Members,

I want to provide you with an update on McConnell Golf's (MCG) interest in HMCC. Having completed their due diligence, John McConnell has informed us that they are not pursuing presenting an offer to acquire HMCC at this time. His communication did not provide any specific reasons for their decision other than he could not get a general agreement from his executive team to move forward. As a result of MCG's decision, we will suspend any further actions associated with our due diligence, retain the information collected to date, and inform MCG of our appreciation for their consideration. I want to specifically thank Ricky Shore, Roger Braswell, and Ricky Brown for their significant efforts in navigating this opportunity.

As we now move forward with 2024 plans, the Board and HMCC leadership will focus on finalizing our budget, developing a long-range outlook, and identifying opportunities to provide continual improvements for membership experience. I look forward to providing an update on these efforts at our Spring Meeting.

Dear Members,

We are thrilled to announce that we have reopened and are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the club soon. However, there have been a few changes in our dining services. Starting immediately, we will now be accepting reservations until 8:30 pm. Additionally, we will be serving bar snacks until 9 pm. As always, we are committed to improving our services and meeting the needs of our valued members. We look forward to seeing everyone around the club in the coming days.

Pickleball

"Our group has grown tremendously over the last two years, and we now have 80 HMCC members on our TeamReach app, which we use to stay informed on both playing and social opportunities. If you are a social or golf member and have been ‘pickle curious’, there’s plenty of room to jump in and see what the fuss is about. We are on the courts every decent day and are always happy to introduce members to our strange new obsession."
