Recycling Centre Adjusting to New Summer Hours

Starting Monday, July 17, the Town of High River Recycling Centre will adjust its summer operating hours to allow crews more time to clean and empty branches and leaves. The new hours will be as follows:   

• Monday & Friday: 10 am - 5 pm  
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8 am - 5 pm  
• Saturday & Sunday: 8 am - 5 pm  
• Closed on statutory holidays

Town Inviting Expressions of Interest

The Town of High River invites expressions of interest related to the lease of portions of municipal lands located in the Town of High River. 

• There are two portions of land included in this request. 
• Seeking individuals interested in leasing one or all available portions. 
• To be used for haying agriculture purposes.

Foothills Community Counselling

Asking for help or seeking someone to talk with can be difficult, but finding help shouldn’t be.   

Located at 251 – 9 Ave SW, Foothills Community Counselling provides access to support for everyone: adults, children and youth, couples and seniors. Services are offered on a fee scale based on individual income and circumstance.

Free walk-in counselling is on Wednesdays from 10 am – 1 pm. Just stop in!  

Skate Mania has Returned!

Skate Mania has returned for another year of tricks, spins, and good times with friends!   

• Date: Wednesday, July 26  
• Time: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm   
• Location: High River Pump Track  



Skate Mania offers free food, music, competitions, and prizes and is geared toward ages 12 –21. However, all ages and abilities are welcome.  

Roller Skate Dance Party at the BSRC

Join us for a night of skating for all ages! Calgary Roller Skate is offering rentals, or you can bring your own roller skates.

• Date: Friday, July 28  
• Time: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm  
• Location: Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (Large Arena)   
• Cost: $2 per person & $10 roller skate rentals (if required)  
• Minors must have a signed waiver by their guardian.  



Skate the night away with music and mood lighting! 

Senior Social Gatherings

It’s a party at the Patch! Over the summer, FCSS (251 9th Ave SW) hosts free senior social gatherings on Wednesdays from 1:00 –2:00 pm. Come early and stay late to spend extra time in the yard.
