Council meetings have returned to the joint Council Chambers at Town Hall on Macleod Trail. Please come and attend in person if you can. The technology is installed and is being tested. Watch for updates on the Town’s social media as live streaming of the Council may return for this meeting.

Town Plan Community Drop-Ins

Ask for your Feedback

• During September, take advantage of Town Plan Community Events to share your feedback on the Community Feedback Report, guiding principles, vision, goals and objectives.  
• The Community Feedback report is available on the website at highriver.ca/town-plan or for pick-up in the Town Hall lobby.   
• Drop in to talk to the Town Plan Team: September 17, 9 a.m. -noon at the Rec Centre, at the Library, 10 a.m. - noon on September 20 and from 1-4 p.m. at the River City Classics Show ‘n’ Shine on September 25

• Thanks to everyone who answered the poll questions on social media 
• Check the Town website for information about the budget process as next year's budget ramps up – highriver.ca/2023-municipal-budget 
• You can still take part as the questions are shared on the Town website beginning October 1.  
• Results of the polls will help identify areas of interest within the community.  

Balloon Glow is Back!

The Heritage Inn International Balloon Glow is returning to High River! 

• The Balloon Glow will begin at 5 p.m. and will run until 9 p.m. 
• Balloons will be inflated and lit up in the area northwest of the Highwood River, just past Centre Street Bridge.  
• During the event, Centre Street from the Sobeys intersection to High Country Drive will be closed to the public. Watch for flaggers directing traffic between 4 and 10 p.m. 
• Attendees are encouraged to park at the Co-op Grocery Store or the High River Rodeo grounds, where shuttles will be provided. Limited accessible parking will be available on 1 Avenue NE.

River City Classics Show n' Shine 

September 25

The annual River City Classics Show n’ Shine is scheduled for Sunday, September 25. 

• Cars will be displayed throughout Downtown and George Lane Park.  
• Parking restrictions, road closures and barricades will be set up in Downtown High River.  
• Please plan ahead and expect delays when driving near Downtown.
