PSAT 8/9 & PSAT/NMSQT
It’s that time again. If you are interested in having your child take the PSAT on October 9, the PayPal buttons are live. The fees for the tests are:
The deadline for payment is September 27. The test is digital. For students with accommodations, check with your child’s case manager to see if they have College Board approved accommodations. Accommodations will only be provided for the PSAT/NMSQT.

Counseling Coffee Chat-September 20 at 8:15am in the HS MPR
Join us for a morning meeting on September 20 at 8:15am to learn about the UNC system changes with a college representative from Winston Salem State University. There will also be a financial aid representative who will be speaking about FAFSA and financial aid.
CACRAO College Fair at LNC High School, October 15, 2024 6:30-8:30pm
More information will be shared towards the end of September with a list of participating colleges. This will be a large event with over 60 colleges and universities participating.
Upcoming College Visits
All college visits will be held in the multipurpose room during Knight Time and students must sign up to attend through Naviance prior to attending. This list is constantly changing, so students should check Naviance for additional schools and any changes to this schedule. If students have any questions on signing up, they should see their counselor.

Service Academy Day, September 21
Senator Ted Budd is hosting a Service Academy Day September 21 at 9:00am to discuss the application and nomination process. Representatives from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the other federal service academies will be there to answer questions. Here is a link to a flier with details and registration information. Congressional staff will be present to explain the nomination process. The details are as follows:

All students at these institutions of higher education receive full tuition, room and board and books at no cost.
