Living Christ in This World
THIS WEEK'S BANNER: Sixteen High Schoolers and four adult chaperones spent a week in Erie, PA, last month building porches, painting houses, and growing in faith. They are pictured here before evening devotion near Lake Erie. There will be a High School Mission Trip Reunion this SUNDAY from 5:30-7 PM in the Great Hall.
It’s common for churches to see what’s been thoughtfully (or painfully) coined “the summer giving slump,” when giving declines for most churches between the months of May and August. Many churches like CSMSG see a 20% or more decrease in giving during these months due to members being on vacation, going to BBQs, traveling with family, etc. You can help CSMSG avoid the slump in two ways:
  * Pay your pledge in full now, instead of at the end of the year;
  * Send in those pledge payments you will miss while you are away this summer.
You may give online at anytime from anywhere. Go to our website, click on Stewardship, then click on Give Now . In spite of the slump, God is at work at CSMSG this summer! We are gearing up for what is sure to be a spectacular fall. Thank you for your support.
Did you know that the Choristers provides children ages eight years and older with the opportunity to play an important role in keeping music alive in the Anglican tradition? Children in the Choir enjoy learning musical skills, vocal skills, and the Christian aspects of music. Interested? Contact Nick Bideler at .
Volunteers from CSMSG spent last Thursday painting a classroom as well as a bathroom, and distributing office supplies for teachers at Meadows Elementary School in Riverview Gardens. The work day was coordinated by our mission team that was supposed to be volunteering in Nicaragua this week but couldn't go, due to political unrest.

By now, you've heard the devastating news about Jan Torrisi-Mokwa. Jan was invaluable in enhancing the Women's Ministry at The Church of St. Michael & St. George as well as founding the ECW Steering Council by lovingly guiding the group through a process that brought our value and mission statements to fruition. One of the ways that her memory will be honored is by establishing a fund to support the Women's Retreats that Jan so dearly loved. The money will be used to pay for retreat leaders as well as scholarships for attendees. If you would like to contribute, please make your check payable to CSMSG and note the JTM Women's Ministry Fund in the memo portion. Please contact Laurie Brown at if you have any questions.
