MONDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

How We Got This Bible: Sixty-six books (or more?)
written over the course of hundreds of years, copied by hand, and translated into hundreds of languages—how did we get the Bible we have today? All ladies of the parish are invited to come investigate the history of this sacred book and explore an overview of the whole biblical story from creation to new creation.

CHURCH SERVICE LEAGUE CRAFT MAKING:
This Tuesday the Church Service League ladies will be meeting in the Sverdrup Room from 10 AM to Noon; a board meeting from Noon to 2 PM will follow in the Library. We’ll be crafting again which is always fun, so please join us at 10 AM. See you there.

LUNCHEON AND BAZAAR
We are seeking donations of gently-used items that can placed in our “white elephant” sale and silent auction.
Some popular items: toys, jewelry, scarves, aprons, handbags, Christmas ornaments, kitchen items, wall decorations.
Please place all items in the CSL-ECW closet. It’s across from the water fountain and Sant Library.
Tax receipts are available from Judy Sutherland. We appreciate all donations and the recipients of the proceeds from the sale are also grateful. All monies earned are donated to Church Ministries or charities.

FRIDAY MORNING WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY:
We will study the Gospel of Mark this summer on Friday mornings in the Library from 7:30-8:30 AM.
Saturday, August 18
will take place Saturday, August 18. All parishioners are invited and encouraged to join the St. Michael’s Hunger Ministry on the third Saturday of each month from 10-11 AM in the Taylor Room to make sandwiches for the Bridge and FOCUS St. Louis clients.
Volunteers from CSMSG spent last Thursday painting a classroom, as well as a bathroom, and distributing office supplies for teachers at Meadows Elementary School in Riverview Gardens. The work day was coordinated by our mission team that was supposed to be volunteering in Nicaragua this week but couldn't go, due to political unrest. Another work day is scheduled for Saturday, August 18 to help build a playground. For more information, contact Jennifer McGrath at
