Dear Parents,
At Bishop John J. Snyder High School, we strive to place students in courses that find the balance between being challenged and finding success. On Saturday, January 26, 2019, the
High School Placement Test
(HSPT) will be administered at Bishop John Snyder High School to members of the Class of 2023. This test is one of several measures used for 9
th
grade placement in English, math, and science at Snyder.
The High School Placement Test is designed to assess content and skill knowledge in the following areas: verbal, quantitative, reading, mathematics, language skills and science. This is a multiple choice test that will take approximately 3 hours. Please note that calculators are not permitted on the mathematics section. Additional information and practice questions can be found at the following websites:
Our college preparatory curriculum offers standard college preparatory courses, honors courses and Advanced Placement courses. Our honors level courses are offered across the curriculum from art to Biology II and Chemistry II. We offer AP courses in mathematics, science, English and social studies.
This commitment to student success exceeds far beyond the classroom. The ultimate goal is for students to make the most of their four years of high school in and out of the classroom and to help them set and reach goals that lead them to all they wish to accomplish after graduation.
We look forward to seeing you on January 26, 2019. Please feel free to visit us online at
