Withdrawing from an ACC course can have an impact on both your high school and college transcript, so it is important that you follow the steps below after you withdraw.
Step 1: Let your high school counselor know that you have withdrawn from a course. If the course was also a high school graduation requirement, you may need to be enrolled in another course at your high school to ensure you get the credit for graduation.
Step 2: Meet with your High School Programs Academic Success Coordinator. During this meeting, your Academic Success Coordinator can go over:
- Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and the potential financial aid ramifications of withdrawing from a course
- The effects of withdrawing on the completion of your goals (especially if you are planning to complete your associate's degree or Level 1 certification while in high school)
- How withdrawing affects your tuition waivers
- Options like retaking the course at a later time
