Celebrate Día de los Muertos with series of ACC events

Austin Community College District (ACC) celebrates Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, from Friday, October 27, to Friday, November 3. This celebration is represented in many cultures to honor and remember ancestors and those who have recently passed.

In support of culturally responsive teaching and learning, ACC’s Teaching and Learning Excellence Division (TLED), Latin American Cultural Center (El Centro), and Ascender Program have partnered to develop a Cultural Mosaic: Día de los Muertos

Students, staff, and faculty are invited to the series of in-person and online events and celebrations featuring culinary arts, photography, philosophy, religion, humanities, and more.

To Drop or Not To Drop!
¡Soltar o no soltar!

Last day to withdraw from fall semester 16-week, 14-week, and 12-week sessions is Thursday, November 16th.

Should I withdraw from my ACC course?

Withdrawal: to drop from an ACC course before the end of the semester for academic or personal reasons. When a student withdraws from a course, they receive a grade of “W” on their transcript. W's do not affect GPA, but they do affect completion rate.

Below is a flowchart to help you determine if dropping is the best option for you. Please keep in mind that this is meant to be a general guide, not a rulebook -- you should always consult your instructor, high school counselor, and ACC advisor before withdrawing from a course.
