PLANNING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER

TAKE THE LATEST SURVEY ON FUTURE PLANNING IN NAMPA

(consider taking survey on desktop or tablet)

Comprehensive Plans are a critical planning tool that shapes how Nampa grows, develops and preserves what matters most. From land use and housing to transportation and parks, the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a roadmap for city leaders, developers, and residents to ensure a vibrant, resilient and inclusive future. Because it's so important, this is a three-year process.

Last year, Nampa's Planning & Zoning staff began the process by spending hundreds of hours through the summer and fall meeting with YOU - our community - at events, in public spaces, and in classrooms to discuss what you wanted Nampa to be 25 years from now.

We took that feedback to several focus groups and steering committee meetings and developed a series of objectives and strategies to implement your vision for the future.

Now it's your turn to make sure we're on the right track.

Please review the objectives and strategies shared in this survey and help us refine the plan with your feedback. We know your time is precious and that the community cares how we grow in the future. Thank you for being part of this important planning process.

Please feel free to visit our website: cityofnampa.us/2050 for more information, or you may email us at PZLR@cityofnampa.us.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Ceremony on September 11 at Nampa Fire Station 1 at 8am #NeverForget

This year marks 25 years since the tragic events on September 11, 2001.

The community is invited to attend the annual "Patriot Day" ceremony at the Nampa Fire Station (923 1st St S) at 8am sharp (please arrive a few minutes early to find parking; typically the section in front of the station is closed for the ceremony).

This short and somber event is a humble way to honor the fallen and our nation's commitment to #NeverForget.

Visit the 9/11 Memorial at the Warhawk Air Museum

Nampa is fortunate to be home to the Warhawk Air Museum, which recently expanded its space to include the Global War on Terror Wing and includes a stunning Smithsonian-level area dedicated to those who lost their lives and the military personnel who responded.

From their website, "The Global War on Terror was America’s longest war and we are honored that our new wing recognizes those Veterans. This 37,000 square foot expansion and state-of-the-art renovation is designed to preserve and honor the history of the Global War on Terror and serve as a gathering place for the military community and civilian visitors to heal, celebrate, honor, and learn."
