Garden Party
NEW IBERIA, La. – The Shadows-on-the-Teche invites you to the Shadows Garden Party on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Enjoy good food, music, and classic yard games under the majestic oaks in the Shadows Gardens! Play a round of croquet or test your skills in a horseshoe competition. Stroll through the garden on a special guided tour, and enjoy food prepared by infamous local chefs. Bid on garden related items in the silent auction.

Tickets to the event are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance either at the Shadows Visitor Center or by calling (337) 369-6446. Purchase includes meal, beverages, music, silent auction, and games.

About the Shadows-on-the-Teche:
The Shadows-on-the-Teche, National Trust for Historic Preservation site, opened to the public in 1961 with the mission to preserve the buildings, landscape, collections, and historical integrity of the site; to research and interpret through education programs a 19th century southern Louisiana plantation economy and community and their evolution; and to encourage an appreciation of and interest in historic preservation. The Shadows and the National Trust are not-for-profit organizations that are responsible for their own operating budget and receives no federal funding. In addition, the Shadows does not receive funding from state, parish, or city government. The site supports itself through admissions, special programs and events, and donations to the Friends of the Shadows.

The Iberia Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official parish marketing agency promoting New Iberia, Avery Island, Jefferson Island, Jeanerette, Loreauville and Delcambre as a destination. Marketing programs target leisure travelers, business travelers, media, entertainment industry, and the travel trade including group tour planners, meeting planners, sports planners and special event planners.
