High lake levels causes flooding and closures
Please use caution and respect closures
Recent rainfall and higher than normal lake levels are causing high wave activity and creating dangerous conditions on our piers and along the shoreline. For your safety, please respect the closures on our piers, trails and lakeside parks.

As well, all grass sports fields remain closed today, May 16, and may be extended into the long weekend. Damage caused to the fields when they are wet can impact the rest of the season.

We encourage you to stay safe and check our closures page at oakville.ca for updates.
Upcoming events and other information
Regional government review

The last chance to have your say in the Province's Regional Government Review is May 21. Earlier this year, Town Council passed a resolution highlighting the strength of existing municipal governance in Oakville and Halton Region. I encourage you to take the survey and share your thoughts with the Province before any possible merger with other municipalities takes place.
Parking in Bronte Village

In June, the town will launch a two-year pilot paid-parking program in Bronte Village's commercial shopping district to address concerns from residents and businesses about the availability of parking in the area. Charging for parking in commercial shopping areas is a common way to promote turnover. Join us for our information open house on May 29 to get all the details.
Council business at Town Hall

Upcoming meetings at Town Hall include the Administrative Services Committee (ASC) and Community Services Committee (CSC) on Tuesday May 21 at 7 p.m. Discussion items include a report on the Towne Square Rehabilitation Project and a recommendation to approve the town's 2018 Financial Statements.
