Celebrating Highland's History Makers

Happy 90th Birthday to Lillian P. Williams

Lillian was reared in Gastonia, NC, and is a product of Gastonia City Schools. She is a proud graduate of Bennett College, Greensboro, NC, and Union College, Schenectady, NY. Lillian worked with Lincoln, Cleveland, and Gaston County School Systems and retired after 35 years of teaching High School Math.

Lillian is an active and faithful member of St. Stephens AME Zion Church and a dedicated volunteer for the Gaston County Board of Elections, Gaston County Organization for Concern Citizens, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE), and Gastonia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
