President, HPHS Alumni Association

President's Message

In my seven years with the Highland Park Alumni Association, I’ve seen firsthand the passion and dedication of our alumni board. Since stepping in as president in August, I’ve come to appreciate even more the incredible alumni who support HPISD in so many ways. We’re lucky to have such a bright, caring, and supportive community.

There are countless ways to get involved—whether it’s volunteering, contributing to fundraisers, or cheering on our Scotties, every effort strengthens the future of HPISD. It’s all part of what makes us proud Scots— enter to learn, go forth to serve.

If you’re not already a member, please consider joining the Highland Park Alumni Association and be part of this lasting tradition. Your involvement is key as we continue to lead the way for tomorrow’s generations. Together, we’ll make this year one to remember. GO SCOTS!

Homecoming 2024

One cherished tradition at Highland Park is celebrating the football captains and homecoming queens from the fall of their senior year, honoring those who led on the field and wore the crown. This year,

we celebrated the captains and queens from the fall of 1984, 1994, 2004 and 2014.

Lead for Tomorow Endowment Campaign

Lead for Tomorrow is the HP Education Foundation’s endowment campaign. Alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends of the District can participate in the campaign by establishing a Legacy Fund, a permanently endowed fund established to support Highland Park Schools in perpetuity.

Legacy funds can be established for a minimum of $15,000, and current funds range from $15,000 to $7 million. To date, we have raised $27 million, but we need your help to meet our goal of raising $40 million by 2026!

For more information, please visit leadfortomorrow.org. With questions or to learn more about setting up a fund, please contact

Allison Vanderwoude ’00, Senior Director of Advancement, at allison.vanderwoude@hpef.org or 214-780-3062.

Mad for Plaid Campaign
