UPDATE - Highland Park Water Main Project Tree Removal Begins
Hamilton, Ohio - In preparation for the upcoming City of Hamilton Highland Park Water Main Replacement Project, Wilson Tree and Landscaping will begin removing trees and shrubs located within public rights-of-way in the Project area on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Trees and shrubs on private properties that extend into the Project work area may also require pruning or removal.

Streets impacted by this project include:
  • Park Avenue between Highland Avenue and Parkview Avenue
  • Parkview Avenue between Park Avenue and Lawrence Avenue
  • Lawrence Avenue between Park Avenue and Dick Avenue
  • Helma Avenue between Park Avenue and Dick Avenue
  • Lawn Avenue between Highland Avenue and Dick Avenue
  • Highland Avenue between Park Avenue and Eaton Avenue
Trees and shrubs will be identified for removal if their root systems are likely to be significantly compromised during construction. Customers will receive a door hanger from the Municipal Arborist prior to pruning or removal of trees and shrubs.

The Highland Park portion of the 2016 Miscellaneous Water Main Replacement Project includes replacement of approximately 1.6 miles of aging cast iron water mains and 13 fire hydrants, and reconnecting approximately 170 water services. The Project is designed to maintain reliable water service and help ensure adequate fire protection for local customers.

Project construction is expected to continue through the end of 2016. The City of Hamilton apologizes for any inconvenience created by this improvement project.
