Extracts from Tuesday Tidbits and Maryland Messenger

We want to make you aware of a scam that has recently been reported by several child care providers and the media.

Scammers are pretending to be parents who need child care right away. They may say they are moving to Maryland from another state or even from another country. They may contact you by phone, email, text message, social media, or online child care websites.

Keep Your Children Safe in the Water This Summer

(Maryland Messenger 07/01/2025)

Hot, sunny weather is the perfect time to go to the pool, lake, beach, or other body of water. Make sure you practice water safety and drowning prevention whenever your child is near water.

Never leave children unattended around a body of water. Drowning can happen in seconds and remains the leading cause of death in children aged 1 to 4 years old.
