Hello Friends,
Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Pacific Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, where leaders from across the Pacific Region came together to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and celebrate the incredible impact we’re making in the lives of young people.
I’m proud to share that our organization was honored with the SOAR Award - the highest recognition in the League of E.A.G.L.E.S. program. This award is earned by achieving Gold Status three years in a row, a direct reflection of the dedication of our Board of Directors, and supporters who believe in the mission and put kids first every single day.
I was also grateful for the opportunity to take on a few different roles throughout the week. I had the honor of presenting the TPA (The Professional Association) Awards to the entire conference, and I led two breakout sessions on Preparing Teens for Tomorrow’s Workforce, where I shared how our STEAM Labs are helping teens build the skills and confidence they’ll need for future careers.
I was joined by an amazing team of colleagues - VP of Advancement Alexis Minie, VP of Operations Mariana Cazares-Morataya, Director of Teen Services & Data Laura Flores, and Kindness Coordinator Shantel Gonzales, who brought their energy and passion for serving youth to every moment of the conference.
It was an exciting week of collaboration, celebration, and vision-setting, and I’m returning more inspired than ever to keep building great futures for the youth we serve.
