Highlights of our 2021 Annual Virtual AGM
Markham Arts Council hosted its 17th Annual General Meeting via Zoom on June 7, 2021. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all who attended our virtual AGM!

JUNE 27 - Aurora Matrix

A pop princess and dancing diva, Aurora Matrix is the Aries Fire of the Toronto drag scene. Though she has only been doing drag since 2019, this queen stands out among the crowd with her bold makeup and electrifying dance numbers. Aurora’s drag is heavily influenced by her Chinese culture and strives to be a role model for queer Asian youth.

JUNE 17: Jacqueline Teh

Vocalist/songwriter Jacqueline Teh is known for her captivating vocal arrangements and limitless songwriting. Her sound combines elements of jazz with R&B. Jacqueline’s songwriting is featured on Sammy Jackson’s Juno-nominated album, “With You”. Her music engages listens to search for deeper meaning and connection.
Art Therapy: Let's Art About It
June and July openings now available!
Let’s Art About It – Art Therapy for Seniors (55+) is a group therapy program that utilizes art-making to combat mental and emotional challenges as a result of the pandemic.

Sign up for these free virtual sessions! Led by a Registered Canadian Art Therapist, participants will express, explore, and understand their emotions through a variety of art exercises and mediums.
