Highly Esteemed??? 12/18/24

15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

The HOLIDAYS are rapidly coming to their demise and hopefully the traffic also....
I APOLOGIZE for my infrequent posting the last few days as sickness and business has interrupted my due diligence in writing-although I have made a PROMISE to each of you to NOT write IF I have not had a DIRECT inspiration and WORD which I know in my heart is from God!!!!
I will not write a sermon just to fill the air as I truly value your time and effort expended in the reading of same!!!!

I have been “hung up” on Jesus' WORDS for several weeks here:
“FOR THAT WHICH IS HIGHLY ESTEEMED AMONG MEN IS ABOMINATION IN THE SIGHT OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Of course we all know this:
Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
MANY, MANY things that WE, mere human beings, THINK/BELIEVE are correct, our WONDERFUL/LOVING/ALL KNOWING/ALL POWERFUL God DISAGREES!!!!!
AMEN!!!?????
Some ways of God seem absurd????? Such as:
Luke 6:38 (KJV)
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
It makes NO EARTHLY sense to GIVE in order to receive?????????
Or TITHING?????
Malachi 3:10 (KJV)
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Common/earthly reasoning asks the pertinent question, “HOW can I make ends meet on 90% of my income when I find it impossible to live on 100% of my income..........???”
BUT GOD...................
Malachi 3:11 (KJV)
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
BUT this message is NOT about money or tithing BUT what our God truly values!!!!

MEN/WOMEN-WE all strive for the wrong end results-that being the “success” IN THIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MONEY, FAME, POWER, and EARTHLY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND EARTHLY ACCLAIM AND APPLAUSE!!!!!
Let me repeat:
“FOR THAT WHICH IS HIGHLY ESTEEMED AMONG MEN IS ABOMINATION IN THE SIGHT OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
God just reminded me of a wonderful illustration He gave me in the middle of last night-IN THE WEE HOURS as I watched over little Amanda.
Suppose you and I were attempting to cross the vast continent on The United States as they did in the pioneer days.................
WE were traveling by covered wagons and the journey took several MONTHS to transverse the wilderness.
This extended travel was SLOW, which required a nightly procurement of a suitable camping spot.
Every night WE have or had to set up a TEMPORARY campsite only to vacate it at the dawning of the next day.....
Of course we would choose the BEST spot to CAMP nightly-maybe overlooking a beautiful stream or waterfall.
The best lay of land with abundant firewood and safety.
BUT we would NOT attempt to make these nightly camp sites PERMANENT!!!!!!!!!!
WE would NOT spend our lives making these TEMPORARY camp sites lush and extravagant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE would not even try to make these TEMPORARY camp sites better for any who may stumble upon them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE would understand that those who follow must make their own way....................
In this wonderful Christmas season may each of us turn to our family, friends and loved ones and attempt to make their season bright.
May WE give to those in need as we have opportunity.
