The Hiking Summit is back after a two-year hiatus! Hike Nova Scotia’s ninth annual Hiking Summit happens June 3 to 5 in Chéticamp. A celebration of hiking culture, it includes workshops, hiking stories, networking and hikes. It is hosted by Hike NS, Les Hikers Club and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Registration is $40 to $65, plus meals. If it does not sell-out, registration will close on May 25.
Come celebrate walking in Nova Scotia with us! Through our NS Walks program, we’re inviting members and organizations across NS to join us in celebrating walking and communities by hosting a short walk on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. If you are interested in pledging to host a free walk, please register here. We will then send you more information including posters and social media posts to promote your walk. Depending on your location, we can connect you to one of our walk leaders to help lead the walk on Nova Scotia Walk Day. Please complete the form by Monday, April 4, 2022. For more information, feel free to email us or call 902-483-2813.

Thank you to the 12 MLAs who took our #LoveOurTrailsNS challenge in February and got on the map! They snapped a photo of themselves on a local trail and shared on social media to show they support trails. Why #LoveOurTrailsNS? Because trails are awesome, trails were there for us during the pandemic and the government can better support trails and hiking.
