Nova Scotia Walk Day: May 11
Come celebrate walking in Nova Scotia with us! Through our NS Walks program, we’re inviting members and organizations across NS to join us in celebrating walking and communities by hosting a short walk on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. If you are interested in pledging to host a free walk, please register here. We will then send you more information including posters and social media posts to promote your walk. Depending on your location, we can connect you to one of our walk leaders to help lead the walk on Nova Scotia Walk Day. Please complete the form by Monday, April 4, 2022. For more information, feel free to email us or call 902-483-2813.

MLAs Love Our Trails
Thank you to the 12 MLAs who took our #LoveOurTrailsNS challenge in February and got on the map! They snapped a photo of themselves on a local trail and shared on social media to show they support trails. Why #LoveOurTrailsNS? Because trails are awesome, trails were there for us during the pandemic and the government can better support trails and hiking.

Winter Guided Walk Series
Hike NS and 18 partners are offering the Winter Guided Walk Series from January to March across NS. There are 45 walks led by local folks and participants qualify to win “trail prizes.” These free to low-cost hikes require pre-registration and will follow public health protocols. Hike NS thanks its partners on the ground for organizing the hikes as well as The Trail Shop, Goose Lane Editions, the Heartland Tour and the NS Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage for their support.
