Hike Leader Training in Sandy Lake Natural History
Sandy Lake is an HRM Regional Park in Bedford where hikers can connect with old-growth forests, hear a multitude of birds, and swim in a deep, blue lake. More trained hike leaders are needed to lead public walks at this glorious place. A free training session will be offered on June 19 or 20 (COVID permitting) at which hike leaders will learn about the natural features of the park they could interpret while leading hikes there. This session is open to graduates of the Field Leader – Hiking course who would lead hikes at Sandy Lake in the future. If interested please contact: [email protected]
