Exclusive Opportunity for The Franciscan School
The Hill Reading Achievement Program (HillRAP) class supports students experiencing reading challenges through multisensory, phonics-based instruction.
Modeled after Hill's school and summer programs and based on the
Orton-Gillingham approach, the class provides individualized instruction in a
small-group environment with a maximum 4:1 student-teacher ratio. Through initial
and ongoing assessments, specific target skills are identified for each child with
instruction focused on teaching reading fundamentals through components such
as phonological awareness, word attack, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Progress updates and a parent conference are provided during the class.
