Parent FYIs: Upcoming Events and Applications

On Wednesday 11/16 at 6:30pm, Hillel is hosting Friendsgiving where we'll come together as a Jewish community and give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives. A traditional Thanksgiving meal - with a delicious, kosher twist - will be catered by Rimon. Tickets are $8 and all are welcome.

Tulane Hillel's Onward Israel application is now open! This 8-week internship program offers your student the chance immerse themselves in Israeli culture, gain international work experience, expand and deepen their professional skills, and build lifelong relationships.

Applications for Tulane Jewish Leaders (TJL) close tomorrow, Friday 11/11! TJL is a cohort-based leadership development program composed of students of all backgrounds coming together to foster relationships, build meaningful community, and innovate Jewish life at Tulane and in New Orleans.

Homecoming Reception

Thank you to everyone who came to our Homecoming Reception over Family Weekend! It was a great time meeting many new faces, connecting with old friends, and celebrating with our community.

Sushi in the Sukkah

In our most recent collaboration with our partner, StandWithUs, we held an incredibly successful Sushi in the Sukkah dinner party. About 90 students joined us underneath the Mintz Center sukkah to enjoy sushi, learn about Israel, and decorate the sukkah with friends.

Urban Gardening

Students joined us for a morning of urban farming at local Grow On Farms, where they helped to harvest an array of fall crops and enjoyed a lunch that included items picked onsite! Additionally, they spent time learning about the farm, who it serves, and other ongoing farm projects.

Charcuterie Contest

There was so much excitement around our Charcuterie Competition this past Tuesday. Four TJL students planned an excellent event, where teams came and created "unconventional" charcuterie boards. Each attendee voted and snacked on the creations. The winners walked away with gift cards to St. James Cheese Company!

Giving Tuesday
