Featured Event: Commissioner Nafisa Fai Visits Orenco Elementary
Students in Mrs. Jansen’s and Miss Imada’s 4th grade classes at Orenco Elementary School have been studying the structure of Oregon government and wanted to learn more about what our local government does. So on Thursday, Mar. 10, their teachers invited Washington County Commissioner Nafisa Fai to join them for a virtual visit. Commissioner Fai represents District 1, which includes Beaverton, Aloha, Cooper Mountain, and Reedville. The students asked questions like “How did you get your job?” and “What was your first job?” Additionally, the students were curious to hear about laws or policies she influenced such as banning flavored tobacco in Washington County as a way to prevent tobacco access for children. Students were inspired by all of the hard work Commissioner Fai puts into helping her community.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
