Featured Event: Intel Ronler Acres Donates $45,000 to Hillsboro Schools Foundation
|
|
In celebration of their 25th anniversary, Intel Ronler Acres invited their employees to select one of four organizations supporting education, food security, and economic development in the communities surrounding their campus to receive a $25 donation. More than six thousand employees participated in the campaign, which raised more than $150,000! To increase the impact even further, Intel decided to double the employee pledges to a total of $300,000. Of that total, Hillsboro Schools Foundation received $45,000. Watch the short video linked above to see reactions from the organizations as they learned about the donations.

Lunar New Year is a festival celebrated in China and other Asian countries that begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and ends on the first full moon of the lunar calendar, fifteen days later. It is a time for family gatherings, religious ceremonies honoring ancestors, dances, fireworks, red lanterns, traditional foods and gifts representing good luck and prosperity. Lunar New Year provides a great opportunity for students to learn about multicultural traditions and customs, geography, and history - all of which are part of Oregon’s Social Studies Standards.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
