2019 graduation rates are out and Hillsboro students continued the upward trend for on-time graduation that we’ve seen over the past several years. HSD’s 2019 4-year cohort graduation rate is 86.24 percent, which is 1.77 percentage points higher than in 2018 and 6.23 percentage points higher than the state average. Our completer rate, which includes GED earners, is 90.4 percent and the achievement gap between our White and Latino students shrank to 4.82 percentage points. We have a lot to celebrate in HSD, but still much work to do to ensure the remaining 10 percent of our students reach the finish line so they have a variety of options available to them after high school.
