There will be no school for all students from Monday, March 22, through Friday, March 26, for Spring Break; there will also be no Hot News next week. School resumes for all students on Monday, March 29 - students in grades PreK-2 will attend in person if they are participating in the hybrid model, other students will attend via CDL.

Boundary Adjustment: Atfalati Ridge and North Plains Elementary Schools
|
At its meeting on Thursday, March 11, the boundary adjustment process committee, comprising three North Plains parents, two Board members as well as staff, decided to forward its boundary map recommendation to the School Board. The committee meeting scheduled for March 18 is no longer necessary. The Board will review the recommendation at its April 13 work session and is expected to issue a decision at its regular session on April 27.

The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Board members are community volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work. Board members establish policy based on Oregon and Federal laws governing schools.
