Featured Event: Art Unveiling at Reedville Elementary School
On Wednesday, Sep. 22, local artist Martin Conley unveiled the commemorative art piece he made out of original wood flooring from Reedville Elementary School prior to renovations that began in 2019. Current Reedville staff gathered for the unveiling as Principal Berta Lule, Superintendent Mike Scott, and Martin all said a few words about the collaboration. The artwork is a 3D representation of the school created almost entirely of the old oak flooring. Conley also used subflooring, wood shavings/sawdust, and paint to complete the montage...

Bond Update: ES29 Under Construction
HSD’s newest elementary school, with a working name of “ES29,” is currently being constructed in South Hillsboro. Over 34,000 sq. ft. of dirt has been excavated from the site since phase 1 started in July. Phase 2, building construction, is expected to begin by spring 2022 and finish by summer 2023.
