Love the Bus Month
Love the Bus Month is an opportunity to thank each of our school bus drivers and transportation staff for their tireless efforts to get our students to and from school safely each day! Visit LoveTheBus.org to download coloring sheets and cards that your students can personalize and give to their drivers. Remember to say thank you in person and share shoutouts on social media using #LoveTheBus & @Hillsboro_SD @CityOfHillsboro.
Liberty Fit
Liberty Fit is a community-based running program that was started in 2007 as a way to engage students not involved in a spring sport and give them a positive outlet for their energy as they train to complete a half-marathon. A student and family information session will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, in the LHS library, with practice starting the next day. Community members interested in running a couple of miles with the students and cheering them on are encouraged to meet at the District Administration Center at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19.
10th Avenue Visioning Project & Survey
City of Hillsboro staff are engaging stakeholders to develop a forward-looking vision for 10th Avenue and they encourage you to get involved! The vision will inform future conditions of the corridor and will identify potential unintended consequences that must be avoided. Learn more about the effort on their website, and take the 10th Avenue Community Vision Survey to share your feedback.
The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
