Featured Event: Engineers Week
On Thursday and Friday, Feb. 24 and 25, more than 1,500 HSD fourth-grade students in 60 classrooms participated in a virtual hands-on learning opportunity with the help of more than 150 Intel volunteers to celebrate Engineers Week. Student Wellness Series: Substance Use and the Nature of Dependence
Join us for a virtual information session on Wednesday, March 9, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Zoom where we will explore substance use, trends and prevalence in Washington County. Spring Series of Family COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
HSD and OHSU have teamed up to provide another round of family vaccine clinics at our schools. The first two will be held on Monday, March 14, at Quatama Elementary School; and Wednesday, March 16, at Rosedale Elementary School. Learn more on the Vaccines page of our website.
South Meadows Chess Tournament
All HSD students in grades K-12 are invited to participate in the South Meadows Chess Tournament on Saturday, March 19. Cost is $6 to cover awards and pizza. Learn more in this flyer and register at this link.
Application Deadline Extended for HSD Early College
The deadline for submitting applications to HSD Early College has been extended to Friday, March 18. Interested students should begin their application right away, as it may take up to a week to complete all sections. Contact HSD Early College TOSA Anya Hershberger with any questions. Options for Future Shelters
Washington County has a goal to provide 250 year-round shelter beds to serve people experiencing homelessness as they work to achieve long-term, stable housing. Join one of their upcoming community events or share your feedback in their survey.
The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Board members are community volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work. Board members establish policy based on Oregon and Federal laws governing schools. The Board approves policies for the Superintendent to implement. Email: School Board.
