In HSD, we recognize that students must feel safe and have positive peer relationships both inside and outside the classroom walls, and we believe our students can be great role models and educators when it comes to bullying prevention strategies. In 2017, a high school leadership training program was developed by Student Support and Pathway Specialist Jeremy Carter called Culture Coaches. The program teaches high school students how to organize and facilitate games, demonstrate positive behavior, build self-esteem, and more in the elementary recess setting. Learn more about this program here, and if you are a motivated high school student interested in becoming a Culture Coach, please contact Jeremy Carter.
