Featured Students: Glencoe's Team Shockwave
Members of Glencoe High School’s Shockwave robotics team were on hand at the Hillsboro Farmers’ Market Harvest Fest on Saturday, Oct. 30, to demonstrate the capabilities of one of their competition robots. Team Shockwave is consistently ranked among the top FRC Robotics teams in the world! The 2022 game will be revealed on Saturday, Jan. 8 - we can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

End of Q1 and No School Days
Quarter 1 ends on Wednesday, Nov. 10. There will be no school for all students on Thursday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day; and on Friday, Nov. 12, which is a work day for elementary teachers and a grade prep day for secondary teachers. School resumes and Q2 begins on Monday, Nov. 15.

American Education Week
American Education Week is Nov. 15-19 - mark your calendar and think about ways you can let HSD staff members know how much you appreciate them!
Bond Update: Liberty Solar Array
An exciting project coming in 2022 is a new solar photovoltaic array that will be placed at Liberty High School. This will greatly add to students’ career-technical education on sustainable technology as they learn how photovoltaics work, and as they monitor and analyze the data that comes from solar power production. The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Board members are community volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work. Board members establish policy based on Oregon and Federal laws governing schools.
