January is School Board Appreciation Month and we'd like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our seven elected School Board members for their voluntary service to the District and to the greater Hillsboro community. School Board members put in countless hours overseeing and providing community voice to District operations, as well as advocating for the resources and opportunities students need to be successful. The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Board members are community volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work. Board members establish policy based on Oregon and Federal laws governing schools.
