Featured Event: Read Across America Day
Our elementary schools celebrated Read Across America Day on Wednesday, March 2. Many schools held dress-up days in honor of the event, and guest readers visited classrooms both virtually and in person to share favorite books with students and foster their love of reading. At Orenco Elementary School, local author N.D. Byma read his newest book My Friend Barley Presents: Let's Play Ball (a story about sports bringing kids who speak different languages together). The students then had a chance to ask him questions about the book, the process of getting a book published, and what it is like to be an author!

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
