December is a month of giving and our schools are definitely getting in the spirit with coat drives, food drives, and other similar efforts. We would of course invite you to participate in the various school-based events, but you can also make a difference pretty quickly with your computer. Tuesday, Dec. 3, is #GivingTuesday - a day where charitable giving is encouraged in the midst of consumer spending. Nonprofit organizations like the Hillsboro Schools Foundation, Assistance League and many and many others are counting on your generosity to support their operations, so please consider donating!

The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Board members are community volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work. Board members establish policy based on Oregon and Federal laws governing schools.
