Featured Event: Return-to-School Q&A With Supt. Scott
Superintendent Scott and members of his executive team will host two Return-to-School Q&A sessions this week: Wednesday, Feb. 10, at noon; and Thursday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. (this session is for Spanish-speakers). No School 2/15
There will be no school for all students on Monday, Feb. 15, in observance of Presidents Day. Because there is no meal service on holidays, students will be given two meals on Friday, Feb. 12. Please see hsd.k12.or.us/nutrition for additional student meal information.

Bond Update: McKinney Elementary Gym
Contractors are preparing the foundation for McKinney Elementary School’s new gym for an upcoming concrete pour. Located on the northwest corner of the campus, completion of the gym is expected this August.

Last week’s health metrics for Washington County were the lowest they’ve been in months, and that is good news! We wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank everyone for wearing masks, washing and sanitizing their hands, maintaining physical distance, and avoiding large gatherings. Also, we wanted to acknowledge that even despite best efforts, people can still get sick - we are still in a pandemic! And if that happens, you should report the illness right away so we can help contact trace and stop the virus from spreading further - no shame, no blame!

The HSD Board of Directors comprises seven elected members serving four-year terms and three student representatives serving a one-year term. Board members are community volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work. Board members establish policy based on Oregon and Federal laws governing schools.
